Spinach Toast using Oven

Spinach is rich in vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, iron, calcium and therefore its very important to include spinach in our everyday diet. This recipe is easy to prepare and also a very healthy tasty dish to eat as a evening snack with tea.

Spinach Toast


Preparation Time: 15 min
Baking Time: 10 min
Serves: 2

Ingredients:
  1. Bread Slices (white or wheat)
  2. Spinach - 1 cup finely chopped
  3. Garlic - 5-6 cloves - finely chopped
  4. Grated Cheese - 1/2 cup
  5. Oil - as required
Note: Put the spinach in boiling water for a min and chop them

Procedure:
  1. Preheat oven to 350 deg F for 10 min. 
  2. Meanwhile arrange the baking tray. Spray or grease little oil over the baking tray. Arrange the bread slices in the tray. Spread the chopped spinach over each bread slice. 
  3. Then sprinkle chopped garlic over them and finally top them with grated cheese. I used grated mozzarella cheese. you can also use Mexican blend cheese.
  4. Place them in the oven and bake for 10 min. Remove it carefully from the oven and serve hot.
